Why nourishment matters

Restriction, inconsistent intake, or long-term dieting can keep the body in a state of stress—even when labs appear normal. Adequate, consistent nourishment is often the missing piece for hormonal and metabolic health.

  • Yes, I do! The science doesn’t lie - weight stigma is a real, detrimental factor in and outside of health care settings. Weight can paint a picture, and tells a story, but it doesn’t tell the whole story. When we focus simply on weight, we tend to ignore health behaviors that are much more impactful on our overall health and well-being than a number on a scale. Size is simply not a reliable indicator of one’s health.
